ShiftSyncLive ("we," "us," or "the app") provides real-time shift scheduling, dispatch alerting, and operational tools for public safety agencies and their personnel. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. By using ShiftSyncLive, you agree to the practices described here.

ShiftSyncLive is intended for use by professional emergency-services personnel aged 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the scheduling and alerting service for your agency:

• Account information — your name and email address, used to create and authenticate your account.
• Agency and employment data — your agency membership, role, shift schedules, availability, certifications, and related scheduling records.
• Operational records — data you create while using the app, such as alert acknowledgements, incident and call reports, time-clock entries, and similar records relevant to your agency's operations.
• Device location — when you clock in or respond to an alert, the app requests your device's location to record where the action took place. Location is collected only in connection with these specific actions, not continuously in the background.
• Push notification tokens — a device identifier provided by the notification service so we can deliver alerts and notifications to your device.

How We Use Your Information

Information collected by ShiftSyncLive is used solely to operate the service, including to:

• Authenticate you and provide access to your agency's tools;
• Create, display, and manage shift schedules, availability, and assignments;
• Deliver real-time dispatch alerts and notifications to your device;
• Record clock-in and alert-response activity, including the location associated with those actions;
• Generate operational records such as incident reports and time records for your agency;
• Maintain the security and proper functioning of the service.

Location Data

ShiftSyncLive requests access to your device's location only when you perform actions that require it — specifically clocking in and responding to alerts. The app does not track your location continuously or in the background. You may decline or revoke location permission through your device settings; however, features that depend on location (such as location-stamped clock-ins) may not function as intended without it.

How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Your information is accessible to your agency's authorized administrators as part of normal operations and is processed by the service providers described below strictly to operate the app:

• Notification delivery — we use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications. A device token is processed by this service to route alerts to your device.
• Mapping — we use Google Maps to display locations within the app.
• Hosting — application data is stored on secured servers operated on our behalf.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or ShiftSyncLive.

Analytics

ShiftSyncLive does not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking. We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other apps or websites.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service to your agency, and as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Operational records (such as incident reports and time records) may be retained by your agency in accordance with its own recordkeeping requirements.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to those who need it to operate the service.

Your Choices

• You can control location and notification permissions at any time through your device settings.
• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting us or your agency administrator.
• Deactivating your account can be arranged through your agency administrator or by contacting us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
